Unitex Honored at Safe Harbors of the Hudson Annual Gala Celebrating Community
Mt. Vernon based Unitex, receives an award from Safe Harbors for their community minded business model.

Unitex, a regional business with locations throughout the Northeast and a leader in the healthcare laundry industry, was honored at Safe Harbors of the Hudson Annual Gala Celebrating Community earlier this month. The company was recognized for their community minded business model and commitment to the city of Newburg. Michael Potack, President of Unitex and David Potack, Vice President of Unitex, accepted the award on behalf of the company. Safe Harbors is an organization that transforms lives and builds communities by celebrating the arts in the city of Newburgh.
“We are proud, as a family and as a Company, to support the mission of Safe Harbors as a valuable partner with other entities in Newburgh, such as Habitat for Humanity and the Newburgh Community Land Bank,” said David Potack, Vice President of Unitex. “It is exciting to work with people across different organizations who share a common vision and commitment. Safe Harbors has been advancing the lives of people in Newburgh for 15 years and has been recognized with various awards throughout the years.”
For many years, Unitex has been involved with various programs and community events associated with Safe Harbors of the Hudson. As the Chairman of the Greater Newburgh Partnership, David Potack supports the community of Newburg on many levels.
