VIDEO: Local Volunteers Close Out Week At PGA Senior Championships
A number of local golf-enthusiasts were among the 800 volunteers that contributed to the Westchester Country Club hosting the 2011 PGA Constellation Energy Senior Players Championship this past week, which came to a close Sunday afternoon.
Over 800 volunteers participated in the staging of the 2011 Constellation Energy Senior Players Championship at the Westchester Country Club in Rye last week, doing everything from driving players to and from the airport to serving as marshalls and crowd control officials. Despite some adverse weather conditions during the week, the event was run smoothly from Thursday to Sunday, with Fred Couples eventually coming out on top after defeating eventual runner-up John Cook in a 3-hole playoff.
