December 15 - A reminder from the Bronxville Green Committee that starting today, in accordance with a revised ordinance passed September 2021, gas-powered leaf blowers are banned in Bronxville until March 15, 2022. Electric leaf blowers may be used instead. For a healthy yard, residents are encouraged to limit the use of all leaf blowers and to pile leaves (whole or mulched) in planting beds--to protect plant roots, help retain soil, reduce rain run-off, and support pollinator habitats.
