The Estate of Alberto Longo is located just north of Puglia, in the town of Lucera, where the Longo family has been farming in the region for over three generations. At Alberto Longo’s Estate he captures the rustic, yet balanced nature of the region’s indigenous grape varieties and uniqueness of the Puglia’s terrain. The Alberto Longo Estate has an area of 35 hectares of vineyards planted with such native vines as Negroamaro, Montepulciano, Falanghina, Nero di Troia, and other international varieties like Merlot, Syrah, Cabernet Franc. They are all grown in a spurred cordon system, according to modern and strict production rules such as high density of vines per hectare with a very small yield of grapes per plant.
