Blank ballots total 3,397 votes, or 21.12 percent of the count. Write-in votes reach 233, or 1.45 percent. Officials recorded three void ballots, or 0.02 percent. Total turnout stands at 16,088 votes.
Assembly District 50 covers a dense stretch of northern and central Brooklyn, where residential blocks, industrial waterfront zones, and commercial corridors intersect.
Housing in the district includes rent-stabilized apartments, public housing developments, and new residential construction, with continued pressure from rising rents and redevelopment activity.
Employment centers on healthcare, education, retail, hospitality, and creative industries, with many residents commuting into other parts of New York City for work.
Primary elections often determine representation in the district, where Democratic enrollment dominates and general election competition remains limited.
