Brooklyn Man Indicted On Sex Trafficking And Prostitution Charges

If convicted of sex trafficking by force, fraud and coercion, the man faces a minimum of 15 years in prison.

BROOKLYN, NY — The federal court in Brooklyn has indicted Brooklynite Ferron Facey with two counts of sex trafficking and one count of interstate prostitution.

The indictment, which was announced yesterday, alleges that Facey brought young women — including one minor — from out of state to an East New York open-air sex market called the Penn Track to prostitute under threat of force, fraud and coercion.

When police searched Facey's apartment, they found a handgun, ammunition, nearly $3,000 in cash and a cocaine-like substance, Brooklyn's federal court said.

“As alleged, the defendant trafficked women from out of state, including a minor, to serve as commercial sex workers for him at the notorious Penn Track in East New York, Brooklyn,” said United States Attorney Breon Peace, who announced the indictment.

“My Office is working diligently with our local and federal law enforcement partners to shut down this blight on our district where vulnerable victims are callously exploited by people like the defendant and the customers who patronize this location,” Peace said.
