Brooklyn Man Robbed At Gunpoint For $2K And Cellphone: NYPD

BROOKLYN, NY — A man was at gunpoint for more than $2000 in cash and a cellphone in Kensington on Wednesday around 1 a.m., New York Police Department officials said.

According to police, the victim, who is 36 years old, was walking near Avenue C and East 5th Street when an unknown perpetrator displayed a gun and then hit him over the head with an unknown item before robbing him.

The victim was taken to Maimonides Medical Center with head trauma, where he is in stable condition as of Wednesday morning, police said.
