Driver Bolts After Hitting 11-Year-Old In Brooklyn Crash: NYPD
Police said the motorist struck the young girl while she was crossing the street in Sheepshead Bay last month.

BROOKLYN, NY — Police are searching for a BMW driver who injured an 11-year-old girl in a Brooklyn hit-and-run last month as she crossed the street near a local park, cops said Tuesday.
Police said the girl was struck by the driver of a dark-colored BMW sedan while crossing Emmons Ave. near Bragg St. in Sheepshead Bay around 4 p.m. on March 19.
The impact sent her to the pavement, leaving her with cuts and bruises before medics took her to South Brooklyn Health in stable condition.

The driver sped off eastbound on Emmons Ave. after the crash, police said.
Police have since described the suspect as a man with a light complexion, slim build, and short hair, wearing a black sweatshirt and black pants.

Police are still looking for the driver involved in the crash.
