Deadly Fire In Brighton Beach Kills 1, Injures 3

BROOKLYN, NY — A fire broke out in an apartment building in Brighton Beach on Wednesday, killing one and injuring three others, The New York City Fire Department said.

The fire, which started around 3:30 a.m. at 3110 Brighton 3rd Street, began in a second-floor apartment that had an electric bike inside it, according to FDNY.

One of the civilians was pronounced dead at the scene, and two other civilians were rushed to Staten Island University North Hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries, along with one firefighter, FDNY officials said.
