Firefighter Injured In Brooklyn Fire: FDNY

The firefighter was transported to Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center​.

BROOKLYN, NY — One firefighter was injured in a fire overnight in East New York, the New York City Fire Department said.

The fire started in a two-story building on Van Siclen Avenue, between Hegeman and Linden boulevards, at 2:26 a.m. on Tuesday, the FDNY said.

Sixty firefighters and emergency personnel responded to the fire and got it under control by 3:12 a.m., FDNY officials said.

Officials said that one firefighter was transported to Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center with minor injuries.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the FDNY Fire Marshals.
