Man Charged In Stabbing Death Of His 85-Year-Old Grandma

The woman was found stabbed multiple times inside her Bedford-Stuyvesant home, police said.

BROOKLYN, NY — A 22-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the stabbing death of his 85-year-old grandmother, police said.

Jackson King was arrested Friday and has been charged with murder and criminal possession of a weapon.

Julia Boomer was stabbed multiple times inside her Bedford-Stuyvesant home near Throop Avenue and Decatur Street late Tuesday, Patch previously reported. King and Boomer shared the apartment.

Her daughter made the horrifying discovery just before 10 p.m., when she walked into the apartment and found her mother injured, police said.

Boomer had been stabbed multiple times in her head, neck and upper body. She was rushed to a local hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.
