Man Dies In Fiery 2-Car Crash In Brooklyn
Police said the collision happened near Kings Highway and Avenue M around 9:45 p.m. Friday.

BROOKLYN, NY — A man is dead following a fiery two-car crash in Brooklyn on Friday night, authorities said.
NYPD officers responded to Kings Highway and Avenue M around 9:45 p.m. after receiving a 911 call about a collision, a spokesperson told Patch.
According to police, a man was driving a 2012 Ford Focus east on Avenue M at a high rate of speed when he struck a raised curb at the intersection at East 34th Street and became airborne.

Police said the Ford then collided with a 2024 Toyota Camry in the westbound lanes of Kings Highway before it burst into flames. The blaze also caused the Camry to catch fire, authorities said.
The driver of the Ford was unable to exit the car and suffered burns across his body, police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The 47-year-old woman driving the Toyota was able to escape her car and suffered no injuries.
