Man Fatally Struck By L Train In Bushwick, Police Say

L trains are partially delayed in both directions.

BROOKLYN, NY — A man was struck by a Canarsie-bound L train at Dekalb Avenue station around 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, police say. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

As of 5:15 p.m., L trains are delayed in both directions between Lorimer Street and Broadway Junction. Fire department officials were seen crowding around the train.

The case is under investigation by police, and no arrests have been made.

This is the third person struck by a train in Brooklyn this month.

On Sept. 4, a 26-year-old woman was struck by a train at Bay Parkway station, and on Sept. 16, an 11-year-old boy was killed at the 4th Avenue-9th Street G train station.
