Nominate A 'COVID Hero' To Be Honored At Brooklyn Borough Hall
Borough President Eric Adams is looking for nominations for a third round of awards for those who stepped up in the coronavirus crisis.

BROOKLYN, NY — Brooklyn is home to too many do-gooders during the coronavirus crisis for just one day of recognition — or two, for that matter.
Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams is gearing up to honor a third round of "COVID Heroes" who have stepped up during the pandemic, and he wants help from his fellow Brooklynites to choose who those heroes are.
The borough president first held a COVID heroes event in September and recently celebrated a second group earlier this month, which included none other than top infectious disease expert and Brooklyn native Dr. Anthony Fauci.

The third group will be honored sometime after Dec. 11, the deadline for nominations for the third round of candidates. The official date for the ceremony will be announced later, according to Borough Hall.
The “Brooklyn’s COVID Heroes” ceremony will focus on "the heroism of diverse local individuals, groups, and organizations whose generous efforts directly contributed to the safety and well-being of Brooklyn’s residents and institutions throughout the COVID-19 pandemic."
