Brooklyn residents can apply through NYC Housing Connect for apartments featuring in-unit laundry, modern finishes, and building amenities like parking, bike storage, and an electric vehicle charging station, all a short walk from Kings Hwy subway service.
   

• Hochul announces $4M toward restoration of Prospect Park Lake (brooklyneagle.com) — Prospect Park Lake is getting a $4 million boost from New York State to advance a larger $25 million restoration that will improve water quality, storm resilience, and access. For Brooklyn residents, the project means more rain gardens, better stormwater management, upgraded trails, and refreshed park amenities in what's often called the borough's backyard.
   

• Brooklyn businesses prepare for nor'easter as heavy rain, strong winds threaten NYC (news12.com) — Brooklyn waterfront businesses in Marine Park and Coney Island are racing to secure drains, sandbag storefronts, and tie down outdoor furniture ahead of this weekend's nor'easter. Local shop owners say they're determined to stay open as long as conditions allow, serving neighbors who rely on them for essentials when larger supermarkets shut their doors.
