• NYC Health Department Strengthened Hypertension Care in Brownsville (nyc.gov) — Brownsville residents with high blood pressure just gained lasting support from a three-year NYC Health Department project that improved local hypertension care and connected neighbors to free blood pressure monitors and workshops. Even though the grant has ended, lifestyle management classes at Van Dyke and Tilden Houses and referrals to community health and social services in Brownsville will continue, helping residents manage blood pressure close to home.
