8 Busted For Hawking Fake Goods In East New York: Report

EAST NEW YORK, BROOKLYN — Cops arrested a group of peddlers for selling alleged counterfeit products in East New York Saturday, the New York Post reported.

Eight street vendors were arrested at about 1 p.m., when officers confiscated more than 2,000 counterfeit items, among them knock-off Fendi, Gucci and Louis Vuitton goods, according to the Post.

"[O]ur evidence truck is full,” city Sheriff Joseph Fucito said, according to the Post.

The hawkers, who were selling merchandise at the AquaDuck Flea Market, were charged with trademark counterfeiting and vending without a permit, the Post reported.
