Honda Accord Fatally Struck 65-Year-Old Brooklyn Woman, Cops Say

Police have released photos of the silver, four-door Honda Accord whose driver fled after smashing into a woman in Brownsville on Sunday.

BROWNSVILLE, BROOKLYN — Police have identified the car of a hit-and-run driver who fatally struck a 65-year-old woman on a Brooklyn street late Sunday night, according to police.

A silver Honda Accord smashed into Dorothy Parker, of Canarsie, as she crossed Remsen Avenue between Church Avenue and Avenue A at about 9:50 p.m., police said.

The impact knocked Parker to the pavement and underneath a parked pickup truck on the side of the street, said police.

The four-door sedan driver sped away, stopped in the middle of the block, then dashed toward Avenue A where the car made a right turn, police said.

The car, which was last seen driving west on Foster Avenue, sustained damage to the front passenger side and bumper, police said.

Emergency responders rushed Parker — who suffered from severe head trauma — to Brookdale Hospital in critical condition, said police.

The Canarsie woman died from her injuries on Monday, according to police.
