Man And Woman Critically Injured In Starrett City Shooting: NYPD

Two people were shot inside a Pennsylvania Avenue apartment in East New York Tuesday night, said police.

EAST NEW YORK, BROOKLYN — A man and woman were critically wounded in a Starrett City shooting Tuesday night.

Officers found a 32-year-old woman and a 38-year-old man shot in a 16th-floor apartment at 1530 Pennsylvania Ave. around 10:25 p.m., police said.

The woman, who was shot in the torso, and the man, who was shot in the head, were rushed to Brookdale University Hospital in critical condition, said police.

Investigators discovered surveillance footage that shows two or three men entering the building, then running out shortly after the shooting, police said.

Descriptions for the three persons-of-interest was not immediately available, police said.

It is unclear why the man and woman were shot, said police.
