BROWNSVILLE, BROOKLYN — An off-duty MTA worker was shot in a Brownsville subway station on his way home from work, according to police.
The MTA worker — whom the New York Post identified as 47-year-old Carlo Thorne — was shot in a southbound 3 train that had pulled into the Rutland Road and East 98th Street station at about 6:20pm, police said.
A fight had broken out between 10 straphangers in the subway car and the shooter — a young man in his late teens — jumped onto the platform, turned and fired into the train, said police.
