78-Year-Old Cashier Attacked As He Tries To Stop Bushwick Restaurant Robbery, Police Say

Police are looking for the man who robbed Inca Chicken Monday morning and attacked the 78-year-old employee who tried to stop him.

BUSHWICK, BROOKLYN — A 78-year-old was attacked when he tried to stop a man from robbing a chicken take-out restaurant, according to police.

The suspect snuck behind the counter of Inca Chicken at 122 Wyckoff Ave. on Monday around 9:15 a.m. when the 78-year-old cashier was in the bathroom, said police.

When the cashier found the robber grabbing the cash, he struggled with the robber and was knocked to the ground, said police.

The robber fled the store and the elderly employee sustained no major injuries, police said.

Police released a surveillance photo of the suspect, whom they describe as a man wearing a green hoodie and carrying a backpack, late Monday night.
