Feds seized twelve kilograms of heroin worth $900,000 and arrested six suspected drug dealers with ties to a Mexican cartel.

BUSHWICK, BROOKLYN — Feds seized $900,000 worth of heroin and arrested six men connected to a Mexican cartel for conducting a large-scale trafficking operation from Brooklyn, prosecutors announced Wednesday.
The gang stands accused of trafficking hundreds of kilograms of heroin into Brooklyn and Queens from Los Angeles and Chicago between December, 2011, and February, 2015, according to a statement from Acting United States Attorney Bridget M. Rohde.
The six men also traveled to Mexico for drug business trips where they had meetings with members of a drug cartel, Brooklyn prosecutors said.

The drug pushers used the proceeds from their illicit business to buy luxury items such as a $3,000 Versace baby stroller, a $20,000 Piguet Watch and a fleet of cars — a Rolls Royce Ghost, Lamborghini Hurácan, Audi R8 Spyder, Mercedes CLS63 AMG and Range Rover Sport — worth more than $1 million, four of which police seized Wednesday, said prosecutors.
Victor “Bebo” Agosto, 29, Perfecto “Fec” Deleon, 42, Luis “Lou” Lopez, 35, Andres “Dre” Reyes, 34, Nestor “Tito Bird” Rivera, 39, and Peter Vasquez, 30, were named in a drug trafficking conspiracy indictment unsealed in an arraignment in Brooklyn Federal Court Wednesday afternoon.
“As charged, the defendants are members of a multi-million dollar heroin trafficking organization with access to firearms and ties to other states and a Mexican cartel,” said Acting United States Attorney Rohde.
“Today’s arrests are the latest example of the success that can be achieved through federal, state and local law enforcement cooperation to combat narcotics trafficking and the all too often associated violence in our communities.”
