The Five Best 4/20 Celebrations In Brooklyn Tonight

Patch selects the most random events to celebrate a marijuana holiday beloved of burnouts across the borough.

BUSHWICK, BROOKLYN — Some Thursdays are meh and others provide you with a wonderful excuse to behave like an errant teenager. Today is such a Thursday — it’s 4/20. Brooklyn will be celebrating marijuana, ganja, pot with pop-up shops, dance parties and movie nights. Don’t miss out. Here are the weed parties sprouting up in Brooklyn:

BUSHWICK: U$ave Mafia Presents Intimate Sesh

Where: BIZARRE Bushwick, 12 Jefferson St. (Between Myrtle and Bushwick avenues)

When: 11:30 p.m. - 4 a.m.

What: Bizarre bar’s first annual 4/20 party will be hosted by LuFilthy and promises an “intimate performance” from Craz, a U$ave Mafia 4/20 Showcase, as well as some extra surprises.

How Much: $10 in advance, $15 at the door.

WILLIAMSBURG: “Cheech and Chong’s Nice Dreams” Screening

Where: Nitehawk Cinemas, 136 Metropolitan Ave. (Between Berry and Wythe avenues)

When: 9:30 p.m.

What: Nitehawk will be screening Cheech and Chong’s third feature film, with music by Maestro Jeff, a specialty cocktail from the NY Distilling Company and an after-party at Lo-Res, the movie house bar.

How Much: $16 per ticket

GREENPOINT: 4/20 Pop Up

Where: Dusty Rose Vintage, 351 Greenpoint Ave. (Between Russell and North Henry streets)

When: 7 p.m - 10 p.m.

What: This vintage shop will be selling smoking vessels, marijuana-themed underwear, and “munchies” from local vendors that include Caitlin Rose Sweet, Oddly Weird and Haute Chocolate Brooklyn. Patrons can also bring in clothing to be airbrushed onsite by artist Sarah Lammer.

How Much: As much as you’re willing to spend.

VINEGAR HILL: Come4me 420 Distillery Party

Where: Kings County Distillery, 299 Sands St. (Near Chauncey Avenue)

When: 8 p.m. - 12 a.m.

What: Kings County Distillery will be playing house funk and hip hop on the patio, hosting a tarot card reader to tell your fortune, and selling their house-brewed whiskey, obviously.

How Much: No cover.

BUSHWICK: The Big Lebowski Screening

Where: Syndicated, 40 Bogart St. (Between Grattan and Thames streets)

When: 7 p.m.

What: It wouldn’t be 4/20 without "the Dude." If you don’t know why, you need to see this movie.
