HBO's 'High Maintenance' Wants Bushwick Extras For House Of Yes Dance Party

You can dance in a glitzy gold-and-silver themed dance party that will appear on HBO's 'High Maintenance.'

BUSHWICK, BROOKLYN — Brooklynites with serious addictions to HBO’s “High Maintenance” will have a chance to enter into its world next week when the House Of Yes hosts a dance party that will appear on the television show.

The series is looking for extras to dance and rave in gold and silver glitz at the House of Yes at 2 Wyckoff Ave. at 9 p.m. Tuesday, May 16.

The dance party will appear on a future episode of “High Maintenance,” which chronicles the life of a bike-riding pot dealer as he travels across Brooklyn and into the homes of its weirder stoners.

House of Yes — the beloved dance venue that commonly hosts acrobats, aerialists and pole dancers — is asking potential extras to come dressed with the glamour expected of a celestial being — and even created a pinterest page to foster inspiration.

“We invite you to dress in GOLD, SILVER, glitz, glam, and spectacular looks worthy of a god or goddess,” organizers said on EventBrite.

“Let's fill the room with a constellation of deities, exotic creatures from all reaches of space, and mystics from across time.”

In return, House of Yes is promising to serve up disco music, “dionysian” drink specials and free pizza. There may also be sacrifices to undisclosed gods.

The doors open at 9 p.m. and filming will begin at 10 p.m.

Anyone over the age of 21 can register on Eventbrite but you will be turned away at the door if you arrive after 10 p.m. or if your costume isn’t appropriately awesome.
