Man Struck By Motorcycle In Bushwick After Running From Garbage Truck, Police Say

A man trying to escape being hit by a garbage truck Wednesday night found himself in the path of a Harley Davidson, said police.

BUSHWICK, BROOKLYN — A man trying to cross a Bushwick street ran to avoid being hit by a garbage truck and was struck by a motorcycle Wednesday night, police said.

The man was crossing Knickerbocker Avenue near Harrison Place around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday when he saw a garbage truck barreling toward him, police said.

The pedestrian ran to avoid being hit by the truck and found himself in the path of a Harley Davidson motorcycle, police said.

Both the man and the motorcyclist were taken to Bellevue where they were treated for a broken leg and a broken arm, respectively, police said.

Neither of the drivers was charged with a crime, police said.
