Mugger Beat Teen With Gun In Bushwick, Police Say
Police released photos Thursday of a man who beat a teenager with a gun then stole his cellphone, said police.

BUSHWICK, BROOKLYN — Police are looking for the mugger who beat a teenager with a gun until a good Samaritan stepped in and fought him off.
The gunman attacked his 17-year-old victim on Starr Street between Wyckoff and Irving avenues around 8:20 a.m. on Oct. 4, police said.
The suspect whipped out a gun, demanded the teen hand over his phone, then hit him with the butt of the gun until the teenager fell to the ground, said police.

Another person ran to help the teen, grabbed the gun and fought off the mugger, who ran away toward Wyckoff Avenue, said police.
Emergency responders took the teenager to Wyckoff Hospital where he was treated for cuts on his face and head, said police.

Police released surveillance photos of the attacker, who they describe as a man about 20 years-old, standing about 5-foot-5, last seen wearing a hooded sweater, dark coat and black jeans.
