NYC City Council Election District 34: Candidates, Polling Places And More
Everything you need to know to vote in Tuesday's primary election in Bushwick, Williamsburg and Ridgewood, Queens.

BUSHWICK, BROOKLYN — Voters in Bushwick, Williamsburg and Ridgewood will head toward the polls on Tuesday, Sept. 12 to cast their votes in this year's Democratic primary.
Mayor Bill de Blasio and public advocate Letitia James will be on the ballot, as well as several candidates vying to become the next Brooklyn District Attorney. In Bushwick, City Councilman Antonio Reynoso is defending his seat as city council representative for District 34, which includes Bushwick, parts of Williamsburg and Ridgewood, Queens.

District 34 City Council Candidates
Antonio Reynoso is the incumbent in this race and has represented District 34 since 2014. Reynoso chairs the Committee on Sanitation and Solid Waste Management and co-chairs the Progressive Caucus.
Tommy Torres is the current District Leader of the 53rd Assembly district, which covers Bushwick and East Williamsburg. A former public school teacher, Torres sits on the board of Community Board 1, the 90th NYPD Precinct council, and the Woodhull Hospital community advisory board.

Where to Vote
There are polling places across the district; your specific one depends on where you live. To find your polling place, click here and enter your address. You need to be registered as a Democrat at that address to vote in the primary.

After entering your address on that same website above, under "Primary Election - 09/12/2017," click "Ballot Information" then choose your party. You will see your choices for all available offices.
When Can I Vote?
The elections take place on Tuesday, September 12. Polls open at 6 a.m. and close at 9 p.m.
