Brooklyn Man Uses Posters To Find Romance

A Brooklyn man hopes his poster promises of a "cheeseburger deluxe date" and "maybe romance" will find him a lady. "One nite stands only."

BROOKLYN, NEW YORK -- Some people will do anything for romance.

A lonely Brooklyn lover has papered the borough with posters pleading for "females only" to come enjoy "one nite stands" that may or may not include a cheeseburger deluxe, a cigarette meet or spaghetti and meatballs.

"Come on Brooklyn," Reddit user Leather-Heart wrote in his r/Brooklyn post on Friday. "Let's get this guy a date!"

Patch tried to reach the Don Juan of Kings County through a telephone number scrawled across the flyer and was informed, via voicemail message, "This is real."

We hoped to interview the man about why he decided posters were the way to go, and if any lucky lady had taken him up on his offer for "maybe romance."

But when he responded to Patch's voice message and found out he'd contacted a journalist, not his next girlfriend, he hung up.

"No," said the man. "I thought it was someone looking for a date."

Possible Dates Include:

  • Soda date
  • A walk date
  • Roti date
  • Ice cream and cake or cookies date
  • McDonald's, Wendy's, Popeye's, Subway date
  • A comedy show

The man did not respond to a request for interview sent to his email address, "datedating30@gmail."

The poster appears to have been taped to a subway post, but Leather-Heart did not respond to Patch's request for more information.
