Sleeping Woman Raped In Her Bushwick Bedroom By Stranger, Police Say

A man broke into a 24-year-old woman's bedroom in Bushwick on Sunday, raped her and fled, according to police.

BUSHWICK, BROOKLYN — Police are looking for the man who snuck into a sleeping woman’s bedroom and raped her last weekend.

The 24-year-old woman was sleeping in her Bushwick home near Halsey Street and Central Avenue when the man broke into her unlocked apartment around 10:35 a.m. Sunday, police said.

She fought off her attacker after he assaulted her and called 911 after he had run away, said police.

Emergency responders took the young woman to Woodhull Hospital where she was treated and later released, said police.

Police describe the suspect as a man standing 5-foot-10, weighing 180 pounds and wearing a black hoodie and black jeans.
