Straphanger Pulled Off L Train By Armed Robbers, Police Say
The three men showed their victim a gun before grabbing his backpack and yanking him off the Manhattan-bound train in Bushwick.

BUSHWICK, BROOKLYN — Police are looking for three armed men who grabbed an L train straphanger by his backpack, pulled him onto a subway platform and stole his cellphone.
The 24-year-old man riding a Manhattan-bound L train through Bushwick around 3:40 p.m. on June 4 when he found himself surrounded by three men who had boarded the train at Sutter Avenue, police said.
One of the men pulled up his shirt and revealed a gun that was tucked into his waistband, said police.

The threatening threesome then hopped off the train at the Bushwick-Aberdeen stop, yanked the 24-year-old off the train by his backpack, grabbed his cellphone and fled, said police.
Police describe the suspects as young men in their late teens who all stand about five-foot-eight.

One suspect weighs about 160 pounds and was last seen wearing a black baseball cap and shirt, another weighs about 140 pounds and last seen wearing a blue jacket, and the third was last seen wearing a black jacket.
