Worker Fatally Crushed By Forklift In Bushwick, Police Say

A 47-year-old construction worker died after he was crushed between a forklift and a flatbed truck in Bushwick Saturday, officials said.

BUSHWICK, BROOKLYN — A construction worker was fatally crushed between a forklift and a flatbed truck on Saturday, according to police.

The 47-year-old man was walking between the forklift and the truck at a construction site near Broadway and Stewart Street when the forklift suddenly rolled forward at about 3:20 p.m., police said.

Emergency responders got the man out from between forklift and the truck then rushed him to Brookdale Hospital, but doctors were unable to save his life, said police.

The man’s name had not been released as of Monday morning, according to police.
