The closure follows a major homicide investigation tied to the motel and an April fire that drew Canandaigua and Hopewell firefighters, and questions remain about tenants’ legal rights and the property’s future.

Canandaigua man arrested on Drug Treatment Court warrant (fingerlakes1.com) — Law enforcement in Ontario County arrested a Canandaigua resident Monday on a Drug Treatment Court bench warrant after he allegedly failed to follow court-ordered programs. Deputies took him into custody without incident at the county probation office in Hopewell, and he is being held at the Ontario County Jail pending arraignment.
