Carmel police confirmed there was no fire, while firefighters removed the car’s roof to safely extricate the occupant, who was taken to the hospital for evaluation.
   

• Multi-Vehicle Crash on Drewville Road Injures Several, Causes Delays (newsline.com) — A serious multi-vehicle crash on Drewville Road in Carmel late Tuesday morning injured several people and created major traffic backups near 171 Drewville Road. Emergency crews responded quickly, but details on the number of vehicles and injury severity are still emerging. • Carmel's Chloe Pollack installed as president of NYS Children of the American Revolution (midhudsonnews.com) — A Carmel High School sophomore, Chloe Pollack, has been installed as New York State president of the Children of the American Revolution and is championing restoration of Carmel’s Sybil Ludington statue by Lake Gleneida. Her project will fund conservation work, pedestal repairs, and new landscaping coordinated with local and regional partners, highlighting both local history and civic pride.
