• Putnam District Attorney's Office needs staff (midhudsonnews.com) — Putnam County’s district attorney will brief legislators in Carmel tonight on serious staffing shortages in his office, including two vacant assistant DA positions and pay caps affecting senior staff. He argues low salaries, benefits, and a cap tied to the county executive’s pay are driving away qualified prosecutors, and he’ll press lawmakers at the Putnam Office Building for changes.
