Putnam County's REV250 Commemoration Presents Cynthia Abbott Kauffman as "Anne Fisher Miller"!
Imagine the Battle of White Plains unfolding just outside your door while your husband and two sons are away at war. In this immersive first-person presentation, Anne Fisher Miller recounts her encounters with General George Washington, how her home was transformed into a field hospital and church, and the dangers posed by the notorious “cow-boys and skinners” who roamed the contested Neutral Ground of present-day Westchester County. Dressed in period attire, Anne also shares and demonstrates the everyday essentials used by soldiers and camp followers during the Revolutionary War.
This exciting program is for all ages, but recommended for adults and children who are interested in American Revolution history. Registration is required. Please register each person attending individually.
