Inversions Workshop

In this unique two-hour workshop with Rachael Stark, we will explore and practice as a group and in pairs, specific postures in yoga that involve  “going upside down” such as shoulder stand, headstand, handstand, and forearm stand. Special strengthening sequences, careful attention to arm and shoulder alignment, and particular emphasis on using and building heat in the core muscles will allow us to move from more familiar “standing” postures to these inversions.  We will also learn the critical philosophical, spiritual, and health reasons for these poses in any yoga practice. All yogis, regardless of experience with inversions are welcomed!
