Jewel in the Crown: Old City Hall Station

City Hall station was built to symbolize how important city officials felt the subway would be to New York’s ongoing development. Travel back in time to the subway’s early days in a station decked out with chandeliers, leaded skylights, a vaulted Guastavino ceiling, and decorative tile work.
