In this three session course, participants will be taken through a brief history of stand-up, sketch and improv comedy, watch plenty of video clips, and discuss the intricacies of comedy and its most prominent practitioners. The class will talk about the evolution of Saturday Night Live, deconstruct the genius of Mitch Hedberg and prove that Del Close is patient zero for almost every modern sitcom. You'll come away with a deep understanding of comedy and a new appreciation for this growing, wonderful art form. Plus: Some laughs.
