Trump Supporter Sucker-Punches Woman at Brooklyn Bistro
In the latest report of pro-Trump street aggression, a man ran into a Boerum Hill restaurant Saturday and punched a woman in the face.
BOERUM HILL, BROOKLYN — Trump's rhetoric emboldening men to put their hands on women has apparently not gone unheard in brownstone Brooklyn, as liberal a bubble as it may be.
A Donald Trump supporter sucker-punched a woman at a Boerum Hill restaurant Saturday night after getting into a political debate with her earlier in the evening, according to widespread reports.
Around 6:50 p.m., the man entered Bar Tabac, the hip Parisian bistro where he had dined with a female companion earlier in the night, and struck a 49-year-old woman in the face, a police spokesman told Patch.

The Trump fan and the victim, a Hillary Clinton supporter, had been arguing about politics earlier in the night, restaurant staffers told Brooklyn Paper. Jonas Leon, a manager at Bar Tabac, said the man had even requested Bar Tabac throw the woman out of the restaurant for speaking badly of Trump.
Leon refused, instead moving the Trumpster and his date to a different table, he told Brooklyn Paper. The man then paid his bill and left the restaurant — before returning to enact vengeance in Trump's name.

"The guy came back almost running, and he started pushing some customer and the high-chair next to him with the baby because he couldn’t reach the girl," Leon told Brooklyn paper. "Then he punched the girl."
Mayor Bill de Blasio condemned the attack on Twitter Monday, saying Trump-inspired violence "will not be tolerated" in NYC.

Bar Tabac has since posted the following statement to its Facebook page:
The victim suffered no serious pain or injuries, and refused medical attention at the scene, according to a police spokesman.
Bar Tabac staff chased the man out of the restaurant, and the alleged sucker-puncher and his date escaped in their car before police arrived, Leon told the Brooklyn Paper.
Police confirmed with Patch that as of Monday evening, the suspect had not been arrested and the investigation was still ongoing.
