• NNYCF honors 23 Jefferson-Can Community Scholars (informnny.com) — Carthage Central High School students are among 23 Jefferson and Lewis County seniors honored as 2026–2027 Jefferson-Can Community Scholars, each earning at least $1,500 for their first year at Jefferson Community College. The Northern New York Community Foundation program, funded by JCC alumnus Stephen H. Can, has now invested nearly $1.93 million to support 879 local students’ college goals.
