• Timeline clarified for Cementon Rebirth Plan in Catskill (dailygazette.com) — Catskill officials and Greene County planners are moving ahead with a detailed environmental review that will shape future development in the Cementon hamlet, just south of the village. The study will examine wetlands, traffic, views, utilities, and economic impacts through next spring, and town leaders are already warning that any tax breaks for developers must not shift extra costs onto Catskill taxpayers. 
• Mid-Hudson arrests report: Aug. 5, 2026 (dailyfreeman.com) — Law enforcement officials report that three village of Catskill residents were arrested after a search warrant was executed at a Main Street home, leading to felony drug and paraphernalia charges. Two were released to appear later in Catskill Town Court, while a third was jailed on an earlier probation warrant and will be arraigned on the new charges at a future date.
