• White New York State Trooper Sentenced In Car-Ramming Death Of 11-Year-Old Black Girl (blackstarnews.com) — A former New York State Trooper from Catskill has been sentenced to prison for a 2020 crash on the Thruway that killed 11-year-old Monica Goods during a traffic stop and pursuit in Ulster County. The state Attorney General’s office handled the case under its special authority to investigate deaths involving law enforcement officers, resulting in a manslaughter conviction and a multi-year prison term.
