Center Moriches Woman Stole Pickup From Greenport Home: Cops

CENTER MORICHES, NY —A Center Moriches woman was charged with stealing a pickup truck from a Greenport home, police said.

According to Southold Town Police, the incident took place on Saturday at 10:36 a.m. when a man reported that his 1994 Ford pickup was stolen from his home. Officers located the vehicle traveling west on County Rd. 48 and initiated a traffic stop, police said.

The driver, Alicia Brewer, 21, was arrested and charged with fourth degree larceny:auto over $100, a felony; she was processed at Southold Town Police headquarters and held for arraignment, police said.
