Man Crashes Into 3 Police Cars, Knocks Down Utility Pole: Cops
The 20-year-old man led police on a chase early Sunday, Suffolk Police say.

MASTIC, NY – A 20-year-old man faces numerous charges after he led police on a chase early Sunday before he rammed his car into three police cars and then crashed into a utility pole, Suffolk Police said.
According to police, Seventh Precinct officer observed a man in a 2006 Chevrolet Suburban driving erratically on Winters Drive in Mastic at about 12:40 a.m.
The officer attempted to pull over the vehicle, but the driver, Robert Noon, fled eastbound on Sunrise Service Road North, then northbound on Barnes Road and then southbound on Weeks Avenue toward a dead-end.

Noon turned the Suburban around, crashed into three police cars and continued back to Barnes Road southbound, police said.
Noon eventually lost control of his car on Moriches-Middle Island Road and crashed into a utility pole, police said.

Noon exited the vehicle and fled on foot, but officers apprehended him near the intersection of Campbell Drive and Keller Drive at 12:53 a.m., police said. There were no injuries reported.
Noon, of Sweetbriar Drive in Mastic, is charged with three counts of second degree reckless endangerment, unlawfully fleeing a police officer, driving with a suspended license, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, as well as a number of traffic violations. He was held overnight at the Seventh Precinct and is scheduled to be arraigned Sunday at First District Court in Central Islip.
