Man Killed In Horrific Accident While Delivering Dirt
The man was delivering dirt to a Long Island home when his tractor-trailer started rolling and struck him, police say.

EAST MORICHES, NY — Police have identified a man who was struck and killed by a tractor trailer in East Moriches Tuesday morning.
According to Suffolk County Police, the accident took place on Moriches Avenue at 11:40 a.m.
According to police, 72-year-old Bruce Barth, of Roslyn Heights, was delivering dirt to a home when he exited his 2005 Peterbilt tractor trailer. The vehicle started rolling and struck him.

Barth was transported by East Moriches Community Ambulance to Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center in East Patchogue where he was pronounced dead.
The SCPD's motor carrier safety section performed a safety check at the scene, police said.
