Man Punched East Moriches Woman In Face In Patchogue: Cops

A 21-year-old man was arrested after he punched a 24-year-old East Moriches woman in the face "multiple times" early Sunday in Patchogue, Suffolk Police said.

Joseph Mastrogiacomo, of Ronkonkoma, is charged with third degree assault.

According to police, the assault occurred at 67 W. Main St. at 2:10 a.m. That's the address of the BrickHouse Brewery, but a police spokesperson told Patch a report was unclear if the incident occurred inside or outside the bar.

The woman was not seriously injured, police said.

Mastrogiacomo was arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip Sunday. He is being held on $1,000 cash bail or $2,000 bond. He's due back in court Wednesday.
