Man Stabs His Mother To Death In Suffolk County: Police

CENTER MORICHES, NY — A 26-year-old man fatally stabbed his mother at their Suffolk County home Friday night, police said.

According to Suffolk County Police, Christopher Storm Harrison, stabbed his mother Joyce Skarka, 53, at their Union Avenue home in Center Moriches during a domestic dispute around 9:41 p.m.

Skarka was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Homicide Squad detectives charged Harrison with second degree murder. He is being held at the Seventh Precinct and is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on Sunday, police said.
