Man Tries To Hold Up Gas Station At Knifepoint: Police
The employee hit a gas station and the man fled the scene, police say.

EASTPORT, NY — The search is on for a man who tried to rob a Eastport gas station at knifepoint last month, police said.
Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Seventh Squad detectives are asking for the public’s help to identify and locate the man who entered Valero, located at 125 County Rd. 51, on March 11 at 11:35 p.m., displayed a knife, and demanded money from the employee, police said.
The employee hit the panic alarm and the man fled with no proceeds, police said. The man ran north on County Rd. 51 and entered a waiting vehicle near the intersection of County Rd. 51 and Eastport Manor Rd., police said.
