• Wanted in Centereach: Police seek suspect in another bicycle theft (greaterlongisland.com) — Police are asking Centereach residents for help identifying a man who allegedly stole a bicycle from a Oneida Avenue home on the morning of Aug. 10, just days after a similar theft on nearby Hammond Lane. Suffolk County Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward and taking confidential tips by phone, app, or online as they investigate whether the two incidents are connected.
