It takes about a year to truly “launch” a puppy, and most dogs don’t fully mature until around two years of age. The training, guidance and good habits you establish during that first year help shape the adult dog who will share your life for many years to come.

At Tara’s School for Dogs, Puppy Foundations begins with the essentials and grows with your puppy—manners at home, walking skills, communication, self-control and learning how to navigate everyday life in New York City.

And training isn’t only for puppies.

Older dogs may need to brush up on skills, adjust to changes in the household, or work through behavior issues that have developed over time. Don’t believe the old saying that you can’t teach an old dog new tricks. You absolutely can.
