Police Release Photo Of Central Park Robbery Suspect
The man is accused of snatching a cellphone from a 15-year-old girl and then shoving her as he ran away, police said.

CENTRAL PARK, NY — Police are asking the public to help identify a suspect who robbed a 15-year-old girl in Central Park. The NYPD released photos of the suspect (pictured above) late Wednesday night.
The man approached a 15-year-old girl walking through the park on Tuesday, May 2, and asked for the time and if she could spare some money, police said. When the girl told the man she didn't have money, he grabbed her cellphone and pushed her to the ground, police told Patch.
After shoving the girl, the man fled the scene, heading northeast into the park, police said. The robbery occurred in the vicinity of 106th Street and West Drive around 6 p.m., police told Patch.

The suspect is likely in his 30s, stands 5-foot-8 and weighs around 140 pounds, police said. He was last seen wearing a white shirt with a gray print pattern, white jeans and red sneakers, police said.
