Police Release Sketch Of Suspect In Attempted Central Park Sex Assault
A woman walking in Central Park last week was robbed by a man who demanded she perform a sex act.

CENTRAL PARK, NY — Police have released a sketch of a suspect wanted in connection with a mugging and attempted sexual assault in Central Park last week. Police are still searching for a man who attacked a woman walking through the park, stole her phone and attempted to sexually assault her, an NYPD spokesman told Patch.
The 26-year-old victim was walking near West 106th Street and West Drive in the park Thursday around 3:45 p.m. when she was grabbed around the neck and thrown to the ground by an unknown man, police told Patch.
The man demanded money from the victim, police said. When the victim told her attacker that she had no money the man grabbed her phone, pulled down his pants and demanded that she perform a sex act on him, police said. The woman screamed, which prompted two passerbys to intervene, police told Patch. As the two people approached the attack the man fled the scene and escaped into the park, police said.
